Agnes Rachel Helena Michielsens, formerly of Grand Bend and Thedford, passed away peacefully at Chartwell Long-Term Care in Parkhill on January 1, 2020, in her 80th year.
Agnes is predeceased by her husband Willy (2019) who passed away only 24 days earlier and is lovingly missed by her children; Linda (Larry Taylor), Vera (Chris Neu), twins Sarah & Walter W.M. († 1967), Walter, Dinah († 2006) and Frieda (James Eddy). Grandmother to Jeremy, Joshua, Lucas, Henry, Ethan, Hannah, Samantha, Alysha, and Abigail.
Agnes was born in Zwevezele, Belgium and is predeceased by her parents Camiel and Maria (Moyaert) Delodder and raised in a large family of 12 siblings: Godelieve DeVos, Rene Delodder †, Sister Jeannette Delodder †, Jules Delodder †, Marie-Rose Borra †, Aldegonde Noorenberghe, Willy Delodder †, Gabriel Delodder †, Michel Delodder, Adelson Delodder †, and Daniel Delodder †. Agnes is also survived by her sister in law Anny and several nieces and nephews.
Agnes was known for her infectious smile that was evident in her genuine laughter that could light up a room, befriending anyone she met with her accepting loving-kindness and brilliant spark.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Queensway Long Term Care in Hensall, Dr. McNaughton, Parkhill Chartwell Long Term Care, and Dr. Whynot for the care given.
A visitation will take place on Thursday, January 9, 2020, from 11am -1pm at Gilpin Funeral Chapel, 123 King St. East in Forest. A service will follow at 1pm with Father Tony Laforet officiating. At the family's request, a private interment will take place at a later date.
Memorial Donations in lieu of flowers would be appreciated by the family to Lakeshore Eco-Network, or the Lambton Shores Nature Trails.
