With heavy hearts, the family of Barbara May Beaushaw of Thedford announce her passing on Monday, December 16, 2019, at Victoria Hospital in London at the age of 73.
Barbara was the loving mother of Larry, John, Anita, Barb, Gail, Tracy, Gerald and Joey and leaves a legacy in her 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Barbara is also predeceased by her baby son Kevin and her parents John and Florence. Barbara will be missed by many extended family, friends and neighbours.
Growing up in Thedford in a large family, Barbara was a woman who new the meaning of serving well. Barbara spent over 26 years serving at the Royal Canadian Legion and was always ready with a joke or kind, encouraging word, her favourite sayings were: "Cheer Up" and "Always in my heart and on my mind". A woman who believed Elvis was King, the Maple Leaf's where always to be cheered on, and karaoke was a staple to a get-together, Barbara carried her faith close to her heart, loving deeply and deeply loved.
A service celebrating Barbara's life will take place on Saturday, December 21 at 1pm at the Royal Canadian Legion in Thedford with Rev. Dr. Christine O'Reilly officiating followed by a time of visiting and shared memories.
Special mention and thanks to the Ladies Auxiliary at the Thedford Legion, in honour of Barbara's dedication and special relationships, donations are appreciated in Barbara's name to the Thedford Legion, Branch#278.
