Kate Plankar, Loved, Cherished and Treasured. from Gilpin Funeral Chapel on Vimeo.
Kathryn Michelle Plankar nee Rivers of Forest passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at University Hospital in London at the age of 33.
Kate was the cherished wife of Michael Plankar. The couple married in February of 2012 and created an abundance of moments and memories as their family grew with Patrick, age 7, and Emily, age 4. The children were Katie's pride and joy, taking thousands of photos with them, filling up a laptop and 2 Ipads worth of memories to treasure.
Don & Tracy Rivers's beautiful baby girl will always be remembered for her kind smile and sparkling eyes. Kate will be so missed by her younger brother Adam & Samantha Rivers and their children Aiden and Logan.
The loved daughter-in-law of Thomas Plankar, Bruce Hardy, and Judith Hardy (2012), Kate was a gift to have in their extended family.
Family was everything to Kate, whether that was going for walks with the kids, and her four-legged buddies Chevie the dog and Kara the cat, special date nights with Mike, or the family vacations at Bear Skin Lodge in Northern Ontario, times together were always precious and treasured.
Kate excelled in the arts, developing her incredible gifts, graduating from Fanshawe College as a Graphic Artist before going on to work in her field. The quiet, and beautifully talented Kate was often described as shy, but to those who knew her well, they knew she could speak up when something was important to her.
Wife, Mommy, Daughter, Sister, Friend, Loved.
