Surrounded in love by her husband and daughters, Josie Verheyen passed away on Monday, January 4, 2021, at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital at the age of 80.
Josie was adored by her husband John with whom she shared her life for over 65 years. After moving to Canada in the spring of 1953 with her family, Josie met and married John in 1959 having grown up as neighbours in the Netherlands prior to moving to Canada. Together they worked side by side on the family farm in Warwick, raising their family of Debbie (Mark) Redick, Linda (Albert) Kennes, and Sandra (Mike) Rombouts.
Josie was overjoyed to see her family grow with the addition of her Grandchildren, Jeremy (Amy), Laura (Mike), Bethany (Nathan), Karina (Bryan), Sabrina (Charles), Holly (Tim), Erik (Susie), Brad (Ashley), Nicole (Andrew), Kaitlyn (Caleb), Alisha, Matthew, and Great Grandchildren, Keira, Cameron, Kaylyn, Ethan, Hannah, Logan, Evelyn, Alayna, Asher, Ben, Joey, and Lily.

Josie loved to spend her days working with, or dancing with her husband, best friend, and dance partner, John. Josie also loved to quietly work on her gardens, filled with flowers as well as an abundance of produce in her vegetable garden.
Josie lived a full and good life. We will miss her very much and we cherish the memories we have with her. Due to COVID restrictions, there will be no public memorial at this time, a Celebration of Josie's Life will take place at a later date. Family and friends continue to remember Josie for her beautiful smile and incredible love of her family.
