Kirel Thomas Racovitis of Brights Grove passed away at home on Sunday, October 25, 2020, at the age of 46.

Always loved, Kirel's found his greatest pride in his son, Ashton Racovitis. He will be greatly missed by Ashton's Mom, Tamara Anger.

The cherished son of the late Thomas (2015) and Marilyn Racovitis of Windsor, Kirel was raised as the youngest in a family of three with his sisters, Helena Ventrella of Windsor and Kristen Cullen of Birmingham, Michigan.

Kirel treasured his extended family including his nieces and nephews, Kiara Ventrella of Toronto, Frank Ventrella of Ottawa, Ariana Ventrella of Windsor, and Aidan, Declan, and Taryn Cullen of Birmingham, Michigan. Kirel will be especially missed by his many friends including, Lance Stoyshin, Art Yanamoto, Ali Bazzi, Gus Brisson, Michael, and Melissa.

A gifted and brilliant chef, Kirel loved to feed the masses. Always cooking up a storm, no matter where he was or how great the crowd. Family and friends continue to remember Kirel for his Huge Heart, deep compassion, and incredible sensitivity, always helping those less fortunate.

Donations in Kirel's name are appreciated to either Hiatus House or your local mental health association at this time.

I was so saddened to hear the new of Kirel's passing. I had the honour of working with Kirel a few years back, and although Kirel moved on, he would reach out to me periodically and we would chat about life and work. I will remember Kirel as a good friend, colleague, top notch Chef and lover of dogs. My condolences to his easy my friend.

I am shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of Kirel. He was far too young to leave this earth. He was a kind hearted man with a passion for the foodservice industry. I will always remember him and I wish his family peace and comfort during this difficult time.

We are deeply saddened with the news of Kirel. Kirel was a CF Windsor(AKA Culinary Guild of Windsor) member for many years before moving onto the CF London Chapter. His energy and happiness around the spirit of cooking with friends and colleagues for CF events is what we will remember most. He was always genuine in his willingness to help and his service in hospitality. Our sincere sympathies are expressed to all his family
& friends on behalf of the Culinary Federation Central Region, Windsor and London Chapter members.
