Adrianus Cornelis Hendrikx of Parkhill passed away peacefully at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital, on Friday, October 23, 2020, at the age of 80.
Adrian and with wife and best friend, Adriana Hendrikx (Geerts), raised their family, Tony (Katherine) Hendrikx, Patti (Jeff †2017) Mawson, John (Kathryn) Hendrikx, and Dale (Joanne) Hendrikx.
Adrian was so very proud of his grandchildren and is lovingly missed by, Greg (Lindsay) Mawson, Jennifer (Jeff) Bates, Chris (Billy) Mawson, Shawn (Kendra) Hendrikx, Andrea (Josh) Graves, Aaron Hendrikx, Michelle Hendrikx, Kyle Hendrikx, Lucas Hendrikx, Rachel Hendrikx, Claire Hendrikx, Jacob Hendrikx (†2007) along with his great-grandchildren, Jessica, Jack, Jaylynn, Zoe, Ciaran, Viola, Alistair, Ori, and Eva.
Raised in a large family, Adrian was the loving brother of Casey (Margaret), John (†1962), Elizabeth Glenn, Elly Straatman (Harry), Mary Rombouts (Adrian (†2018), Annie Willemse (Casey), Joanne Rombouts, Bernie Willemse (Tony Sr.).
Adrian will also be missed by his in-laws, Joanne Van Bavel (Gust †2006)
Mary Vermeiren (Henry († 2013), Anne Straatman (Gerry † 2016), John Geerts (Annie), Gerrit Geerts † 2008 ( Mary), Nellie Vereyken (Archie), Josie Verheyen (John), Cora Relouw (Ted †2007), Cathy Van Kessel (John), Willie Van Kessel (Martin), Jack Geerts (Julia), and many nieces and nephews.
Archie was very proud of his family, especially his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a farmer and devoted his life to the land and preservation of nature. He was a loving and caring man, who was also loved by many.
Special thank you to the doctors and nurses who cared for Adrian for the past year in Strathroy and London.
A fitting tribute to our father and grandfather's name would be to plant a tree in his memory, one of his passions for much of his life. Donations can be made to the Hope Care Team of London Middlesex, or the charity of your choice. A Celebration of Adrian's Life will take place at a later date.
