David Charles Landrey of Watford died peacefully at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on Friday, June 19, 2020, with his loving wife Judy by his side.

Dave was the loving father of David (Jody), Carrie (Jeff), and Jamie. A cherished Grandfather, Dave is remembered by his grandchildren, David, Christina, and Ashley, and will be missed by his brother Bill (Barb) as well as his best friends, Jerry & Gail, and Nancy and Wayne.

Dave was a long time teacher with the Thames Valley Board of Education. Over the years, he taught at Westminster, Clarke Road and Ross. He helped many students find their careers in the sheet metal trade. He also taught night school to the sheet metal apprentices from local 473.

Many thanks to the devoted staff at Brookside Retirement Home as well as the caring staff at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital. Donations are appreciated to the Diabetes Association of Canada.

A private service will take place at the Pinery Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to M.Box & Son Funeral Home, 183 Broad St., Parkhill. Please leave a memory or condolence online at

I'm so sorry to hear about Dave's passing. I knew he wasn't in good health when I talked to him 4 years ago after the death of my husband, Duncan. They were both sheet metal teachers in London, along with Dave's brother, Bill, during the 60's, 70's and 80's. They were all very hard workers and did a lot to promote their trade. We were very close friends during that time and I have many fond memories of our social get-togethers. My condolences to Judy and family, and to Bill and Barb too.

To the family of David & Judy,

We wish to express our condolences with Dave' passing, but know that his suffering has ended. Please convey our sympathy to Judy as well.

We have not known them very long, but have enjoyed their company at Brookside Retirement Living as table mates.

You are a wonderful family from what we have seen and wish you all the best while still looking after Judy.

Dave loved watching his grandkids play hockey , I would enjoy our chats after games about what we did well and what we didn’t do well haha many times in Parkhill , it was more about what they needed to work on haha , sure your going to miss him guys , hugs to all !
