JANUARY 6, 1949 - JUNE 11, 2020
It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Dorothy Ileane Bice at LHSC Victoria campus on June 11, 2020, after a courageous battle with cancer, in her 72nd year. Dorothy was the beloved daughter of Scott and Jean (Cluness) Bice. She was the dear sister of George and Roberta (Keys) Bice.

Cherished aunt of Kelly (Jeff) Mutis, Debra Bice (Alex Yu), David (Stephanie) Bice, Robert Glenn, and Lisa (Paul) Lutowicz. Dorothy will be missed by her nieces and nephews, Carolyn and Julie Mutis, Thomas Yu, Abby and Ava Verwegen-Bice, Tyler Glenn, Kevin and Ian Lutowicz. Dorothy is predeceased by her parents and sister Marilyn (Bice) Glenn, brother-in-law Jim Glenn and great-nephew Nathan Glenn.

Dorothy graduated from St Joseph’s Hospital School of Nursing in 1970. Completed her B.Sc.N from UWO in 1976 and a few years later completed her Masters at UWO. She was very proud of her St. Joseph’s connection. Dorothy served many years with the Sarnia-Lambton and Middlesex-London Public Health Units. The latter part of her career was spent working with cherished colleagues and clients at the Children's Aid Society of London and Middlesex.

Warmest prayers for Dorothy's family. She was such a caring person and it was a privilege to work with her raising awareness and practice for Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder. I was blessed to know her.

We had the pleasure of knowing Dorothy through the London Middlesex Children's Aid Society as a social worker to one of our special needs children she continued as such until she retired and even though she did we kept in touch over the years as the child she was a worker to remained in our care we were very blessed and happy that Dorothy was able to attend that child's graduation ceremony last year as she and the child had such a close bond it was a beautiful moment that will be forgotten.

It was such a pleasure to have known such a wonderful, caring, kind hearted woman who will be greatly missed by all who have known her.

I can't think of a better way to memorialize Dorothy. She was always strong and steady, and so life giving... all in her quiet unassuming way.
