Norma Jean Davis of Oil Springs, died peacefully at her home on Saturday, April 11, 2020 at the age of 69.
The second youngest in a family of twelve siblings, Norma leaves behind a large number of cousins, nephews and nieces and is predeceased by her parents, 2 sisters and 2 brothers.
Norma spent most of her time with her extended family with LCDS in Oil Springs, talking about her sisters, and demonstrating just how strong-willed she could be when she set her mind to something. Memories of time with her Mom were shared while taking part in tasks such as canning pickles with staff. Of course, any type of food preparation had to be done while wearing her favourite red apron, the colour that was never far from Norma in her daily life; whether it was the accents in her bedroom, her fingernail polish, or her red beta fish, it just had to be red.
Special trips were taken to the Sarnia Humane Society to offer some loving to the four-legged residents there, with the cats always having priority. Family and friends continue to celebrate Norma’s life, a life of kindness, gentleness and determination. Donations are appreciated in Norma’s name to Lambton County Developmental Services or the Sarnia Humane Society. Arrangements are entrusted to Gilpin Funeral Chapel, 123 King Street East in Forest 519-786-4964. Please leave a memory or condolence online at www.GilpinFuneralChapel.com
