Amanda Marie Vlasman of Komoka passed away at London's Victoria Hospital, early Saturday morning, March 28, 2020, at the age of 36, after a courageous and long-fought battle with cancer. Wife and best friend of Dean. Amanda and Dean married in October of 2012, later welcoming their two young boys Max, age 4, and Matthew, age 3.

Amanda was loved dearly by her family, Mom and Dad, Mac & Debbie Watson, her siblings, Stephanie Watson (Chris Knight), Chris (Erin) Watson, and Lee Watson (Erin MacDonald). Lovingly missed sister-in-law to Sean (April) Vlasman and Kara Vlasman (Mitchel Bloom) and daughter-in-law of Alieda and the late Joe Vlasman. Amanda was the cherished aunt to Charlie, Jamie, Scott, Jillian, Addison, Mason, Liam, Dylan, and Alieya.
Lovingly missed granddaughter of Mac & Marlene Watson and predeceased Willis & Marilyn Rock. With an endearing and caring smile, Amanda's passing will be felt by the lives she has touched, including her Aunts, Uncles, cousins, friends and those she worked with and for.

Amanda spent her working days as a PSW working with the elderly, a job she absolutely loved and took great pride in. For fun Amanda could be found on the golf course with her husband; there Dean and Amanda became avid golfers and participated in the annual Caradoc Sands Octoberfest Scramble. Amanda's excitement was at its peak during the annual Black Friday shopping trips as Dean and Amanda would head south in search of the "thrill of a deal", meeting up with friends and traveling as far as Florida, Alabama, Louisiana and Tennessee.

Amanda's greatest love, of course, was easily found in the men of her life, husband Dean and her little men Max and Matthew. Mommy's boys. Mommy's pride and joy.

Stephanie, and family, I am so sorry to hear of Amanda’s passing. Remembering back to our soccer days growing up, she was such a great player. Couldn’t find a happier and more genuine person than Amanda. Hope you are all finding strength in each other during this especially hard time.

Dean, I have had a memorial candle burning since last Saturday here at home, so each time I see and sit by, my thoughts and prayers have been for you and your boys and the soul of your dear wife Amanda. This is unspeakable sadness for you and all your family-the Vlasmans, and you Mother-Aunt Alieda, your siblings, as well, all of Amanda's Watson family, her parents and siblings...Thank goodness for family who will be by your side, with your boys, as you keep their mothers' memory alive.
I recall an occasional chat with Amanda over the years, as we both are caregivers, in the caring field of health and wellbeing.
In my position now, I work with PSWs all the time, and they are the hub of community care, and I know how passionate of a person Amanda was, in her work and life. I did not realize you both loved to golf. Doug does here, and I do a bit, and would love to more. Maybe your young boys will one day play this with you, a memory of their parents together game! Keep well Dean, and, when our paths cross, we will talk of Amanda...for your sake and your boys. Take good care, as this time of social distancing is so difficult when your extended family would have wanted to give you a hug, and tears for this journey of grief you are now living. Sending love and prayers from Doug and I. Love, cousin Jane
