Marilyn Joyce Rock of Parkhill died suddenly on Tuesday, January 7, 2020. The loved wife of the late Willis Rock (2009), together Marilyn and Willis raised their family of Debbie (Mac) Watson, Dan Rock (Carol Cross), and Gail (John) McIntosh. Grandma of Chris (Erin) Watson, Lee Watson, Amanda (Dean) Vlasman, Stephanie Watson (Chris Knight), Aaron, Shannon, Nicholas and Jordan Rock, Kaitlyn (Mike) Jeannette, Tyler, and Rob McIntosh. Great Grandmother of Mason, Liam, Dylan, Jamie, Scott, Jillian, and Addison Watson; Max and Matthew Vlasman.

Dear sister of Rena (Orville) Truemner, Grace Denomme, and Leonard (Judith) Pickering. Sister in law to Marilyn and Cathy Pickering, Will Coeck, Ruth (Roy) Hardy and Sue Rock. Marilyn is predeceased by her siblings Eva (Bruce) Taylor, Iva (William) Latta, Jack, Ken, Harvey, Earl (Bertha), Glen, Jim, Don, Ross (Evelyn) Pickering, Betty Coeck, Hazel (Lawrence) Scott, Valere Denomme, brother in law Keith Rock and sister in law Barbara Neil. Marilyn was the loved aunt to many nieces and nephews, friends and family.

Marilyn lived a life of nurturing, beginning as she helped raise her own siblings, and eventually raising her own children on the family farm. Married for almost 50 years, Marilyn was a strong woman who lived for her family.

A visitation will take place on Sunday, January 12, 2020, from 1pm-4pm and one hour before the service on Monday, January 13 at 1pm with Reverend Mark Isaac officiating. Interment to follow at the Parkhill Cemetery. The service will take place at M.Box & Son Funeral Home,183 Broad Street in Parkhill.

Donations are appreciated to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation. Arrangements are entrusted to M.Box & Son Funeral Home, please leave a memory or condolence online at

I am so sorry for your loss. I have many good times with your Mom,Dad and all of you. Your Mother was a very caring wife,mother,grandmother and sister. I have very fond memories of her.
I am unable to attend visitation but know that I am thinking of you all.
