Obituary

Betty Ann Sheppard (Stoner) of Strathroy, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2020, at the age of 70 at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital.

Betty Ann was the loved wife of Dale (2002), together for over 30 years, they raised their family of Dawna Beriault (Bill Ward) and Doug (Susan) Sheppard. Betty Ann was proud of her grandchildren, Jessica, Austin, Shane and Spencer and attended many of their sporting events, often heard loud and clear in the cheering section.

Betty Ann was raised in a large family, the 3rd youngest and will be missed by her siblings Marlene, George, Frank, Linda, Brenda, Carrol, Rob, and is predeceased by her parents, Orvel & Irene Stoner and her siblings, Shirley, Norm, Tom, and Jim.

Spare time was often spent enjoying playing dice or cards with her sisters, but not with her family. Because they cheat! Preferring to play JokR Rummy with her family, Betty Ann was the undisputed champion.

Raising her family in the country, Betty Ann was able to spend much of her time as a homemaker and enjoyed baking, and gardening, working outside of the home on occasion as a cook at The Country Kitchen or working in the bog.

Family and friends continue to celebrate Betty Ann’s life, a woman who valued family, consistency, had a stubborn streak, and enjoyed simple pleasures in life.

A private family service will take place at Pinehill Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Gilpin Funeral Chapel, 123 King Street in Forest. Please leave a memory or condolence online at www.GilpinFuneralChapel.com

Dawna, Doug and all your families. I will miss this "Old Girl" . I am glad I saw her at her birthday party and we had a visit. Your written comments describe her so well. I can hear her saying "they cheat" and then laughing. Jan
