John Rupert Kirk Eardley of Parkhill passed away unexpectedly at home in his 84th year. Best friend and husband of 50 years to the late Julie Marinda Eardley (2006).
Rupert and Julie where born and raised in England. Shortly after their marriage in 1956 the couple left for Canada to raise their family, John (2012) and Rosemary Cole (Christopher Laycox). Rupert is also predeceased by his infant son Robert. Rupert was the Grandfather of Tanya. Ryan, Kyle, Allison, John, Tina, Mark and Great Grandfather of Brandon, Ava, Cole Brielle and Piper.
After arriving in Canada Rupert began his dream to become a dairy farmer. Taking on jobs at local farms in the New Castle area before working at the GM plant in Oshawa for 14 years only to return to his passion and buying a dairy farming of his own, finally settling just outside of Owen Sound. In his retirement Rupert took on a position in real estate before settling down to enjoy long drives to Florida, bus trips to the casino’s and some of the best buffet’s the casino’s had to offer. Rupert enjoyed the locations, but more so, simply enjoyed the social times being out with others.
Family and friends of Rupert continue to Celebrate Rupert’s Life. A life of adventures, travel and hard work. A private family memorial will take place.
