Condolence: Dearest Robert, Roberta, Trevor, Sara-Jane and families. Our heart aches for you all. We are so sorry for your loss, nothing we can say will make your pain go away but please know that we are thinking of you all at this very difficult time. Accept our deepest sympathy and prayers. We do not know or understand ‘why’ such a fine, wonderful woman, wife, mom, sister and friend such as Jane should be taken at the prime of her life, after fighting so bravely. But hold onto her love and her memory and live positive, powerful lives as she did. Be assured of love through this very difficult grieving period and call on us at any time. Your brother and uncle Mark, Ursula, Natasha, Terence and Josh xxx

Condolence: My deepest condolences at this time of tremendous loss. As I remember so many wonderful times spent with my Auntie Janie I also recall this overall feeling of joyousness, togetherness and love. It was my great pleasure to be greeted with a jumping, laughing squeeze of a hug from her many times. Her smile and that laugh I'll think of fondly. She had a unique way of speaking that I loved. I am grateful for the memories. So many of them but I wish we made more. I love you so much and I'll miss you terribly. Sleep in peace, Auntie. I'll see you again.

Condolence: A contagious smile, a contagious laugh and a contagious energy. Thinking of my auntie Janie always brings a smile to my face and a rush of fond memories. I will always remember her warmth and her incredible selflessness. Trips to her house and trips with her to the beach will always be some of my favorite childhood memories. Too many memories escape me, but she filled my entire family with a happy energy that will be missed. I love you and will miss you auntie. I’ll see you again.

Condolence: Our sincere condolences. We know the deep loss all of you are suffering and our hearts are with you.
Janie was an absolute GEM...a devoted wife to Robert, loving mother to Roberta, Trevor and Sara-Jane and a doting Ouma to her seven precious grandchildren.
What an amazing woman!! Always Happy!!
That sparkling smile of hers lit up any room effortlessly. So sweet and yet so naughty!
What an honour to have had such a caring, generous, loving Lady in our lives!
Together we really enjoyed life...and now we have so many wonderful things to reminisce about: frolicking for hours on end at the beach; sitting laughing around the backyard fire pit listening to Robert’s many, many funny jokes; swatting at mosquitoes; dancing; pulling out tree stumps while singing and laughing away!
Happy memories that will always bring warm smiles to our faces. We’ll celebrate Janie’s Life forever!!
Lynnie, Norman, Glenda, Natasha and Todd.
God Speed Janie!

Condolence: My Auntie Janie...

Those words hold so, so many of my fondest childhood memories stretching long into my adult life.
In a nutshell, it was happiness. Love...REAL, felt, reciprocated love. The biggest smile, the warmest, tightest hug. Coupled, of course, with jumping and laughing! No hug came without a nonstop embrace of jumping and laughing and HAPPINESS! I was ALWAYS genuinely happy to see her. The laughing, jumping hug was a real, true thing. Genuine happiness!

The way she said my name, Natasha, with the drooled out “aaaa” ...I realize now how I loved hearing the way she said my name. The way her mouth moved when she spoke. The way her legs kicked out and her feet stood straight, her head thrown back, when she was in the middle of a belly laugh. Contagious. With her cup of tea.

She gave myself and my siblings special quilts on our 21st birthdays. She came with meat pies and goodies out the wazoo every time she visited. When we visited her, even unexpected, her arms would be thrown up with a smile in complete welcoming of us being there.

She was a superbly humble and fun loving woman. Loyal, funny, tough as nails.

I felt safe with her. I felt protected by her. I felt happy with her. Most importantly, and without a doubt, I felt LOVED by her. Deeply, for real. She had us, she had our back, she would throw down in a heartbeat.

I sent her a Christmas card every year, even though I hadn’t seen or spoken to her in years. She was one of those cards that I smiled at while I was putting the stamp on. Thinking how she would smile when she got it in the mail. Just sending a card and putting on a stamp brought me happiness cuz it made me think of her.

She made me happy. She made me feel loved. She was just so, so, so awesome!

Thank you Auntie!! Thank you for the love, the guidance and the happiness with a capital “H” that you always perpetuated.

I love you dearly, I’ll miss you madly. I’ll see you again,

Natasha
