Obituary

Ronald Malcolm McCordic of Forest went home to be with his Lord and Saviour on Wednesday, January 15, 2020, in his 85th year with his loving wife Mary of 63 years at his side.

Ron is fondly missed by his family of Michael & Jennifer, John, and daughter in law, Monique and leaves a legacy in his grandchildren Samantha, Zack, Charlene, Jocelyn, Pauline, Karine, and Josephine. Ron grew up with his brothers Doug, and Bob, and will be missed as an uncle, friends, and neighbours.

A man of deep faith and integrity, Ron will be deeply missed by his church family where he served over many years as an Elder, on the Board of Managers and Secretary for the Board. Ron could be found in his spare time curling, golfing or proudly cheering on his Blue Jays or Maple Leafs.

A visitation will take place at Knox Presbyterian Church, 182 Main Street in Thedford on Saturday, January 25 from 10am-11am. A service celebrating Ron’s home going will be conducted at 11am with Rev. Dr. Christine O’Reilly officiating, followed by an interment at Pinehill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family and friends are encouraged to make donations to the Knox Community Care Fund, a fund set up to assist where there is a need in and around the community.

Arrangements are entrusted to Gilpin Funeral Chapel, 123 King Street East in Forest 519-786-4964.

Well done, good and faithful servant; enter into the joy of your Lord.
Matthew 25:23

Dear Mary, John, Michael and families,
As I shared with my siblings of Ron's passing, we all shared of many childhood memories of Sunday School at Wexford Church.
Later in life, it was a joy to Briefly serve on the Session with both Ron and Mary, before their move to Port Franks. My brother and I passed by Knox Church in July 2018 and saw the expanded facilities, which I trust will be packed out this coming Saturday!
I should also mention Children's stories, Harmony Singers and other activities art WPC!
Prayer for comfort to all of you, now and in the coming days

I am sorry to hear of Ron's passing. I had the opportunity to play a few curling games with Ron on Monday mornings in the past. He was so accurate with the stick. I also would see Ron and Mary having lunch at Tim Horton's. He will be missed My condolences to the family,

Cheryl Denomy

Dear Mary, John and Michael,

I was so very sorry to hear about Ron's death. Such a big part of my growing up at Wexford ... such a wonderful, caring, faithful man.

I send my love, thoughts and prayers to you all at this very difficult time and in the days ahead. I like to think that Ron has finally taken his place at the table with the rest of "God's Forever Family."

With much love and condolences,

Cheryl (Davidson) Denomy
